At least, that would've been the description if I remembered to click submit on rpgmaker.net. The game takes place in 2034, in a world different from ours. Your patient's name is Nima Chuutou, a police officer on leave because of her unhealthy dependence on alcohol, trauma, and nightmares. This stems from an event that happened years before when her partner was killed in action. In order to determine a thorough and accurate diagnosis and treatment, certain diagnosis processes can be performed on the patient, including delving into their mind and surveying a surreal recreation of their life. This new iteration of the game is mostly different from the FLUX you've played before, if you have played it. Consider it a retcon/alternate universe. No... actually, disregard the older version's existence. Screenshots (a lot of the chipsets and other things will change in the course of development):
FLUX's "sequel", dream.girl's thread can be found here. Why don't you check out the devblog to see the developmental process?

I /really/ like the main gameplay idea of this game. Lurking in other person's and not your own mind, even if it's simple I think it's creative, especially /why/ that is happening.

I also tried some demos of FLUX and I'm honestly impressed. Rindre has improved a LOT. Both the music and the graphics are much better, and the story is really interesting. It introduces a lot of concepts you don't usually find in a fangame, and they seem to be very well implemented so far.
When the original FLUX came out, I said the game had potential. This new FLUX is the proof that I was right. This game is going to be awesome.

I'm quoting from the post on the dev blog!
"I’ve been thinking of putting up a playtester demo… Not a bugtest, but a version to try out the new concepts and to see whether things are too hard or too easy to do, things I should change, etc. What I have right now is far too early in development, especially because I haven’t finished the first real world portion yet (that part’s almost done, though! 80%!) I’ll only have 3-5 playtesters though when it’s prepped and ready. Same amount for bugtesters, but they must be different people. I already know who I want to bugtest for the game, so when the time comes and they’re not available, I’ll give the bugtest version to the ones waiting in line. What do you think?"
If you need me to explain this more clearly, let me know...

I'm all for the playtester demo! FLUX has changed so SO much that it would be a good idea to let some people try the new mechanics and see how they work. In fact, I think all v0.00s should go through special testing before being released. A stable v0.00 is very important because the core programming is usually there already, then the rest just keep building over that.

A stable v0.00 is very important because the core programming is usually there already, then the rest just keep building over that. Exactly! There's so many new commands I've done and things I'm indecisive about just in case things seem too hard or easy... I'll prep everything and do something a month before I finish and release it so I can fix things and add/remove things. Commercial games go through playtesting anyway (I'm offering this game for free though) so why not? I'd like some more opinions... I might as well open up requests for playtesting, but I'll only open up five slots. The game is nowhere near playtesting material right now, though. I'll post something up in Pakilusin, so check there within the next 10 or so hours. I'm not home right now...
